Finishes fourth at statewide meet
(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The St. Mary’s robotics team recently finished among the best at a statewide competition.
The Wired Knights competed at the “FIRST” LEGO League State Championship on January 20.
The top 36 teams from around the state competed, and St. Mary’s finished in fourth place during the main event. Competitors not only had head-to-head robot challenges, but also student presentations to a panel of judges.
It follows successful outings at Center Grove Middle School in November and a second-place finish during semi-state round in Evansville.
In the last four seasons, the Wired Knights have been to the state finals five times. One year they had two teams competing in the championship round.
