St. Mary’s to celebrate Gabby Miller Thursday

A "Knight" for Gabby Miller

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – St. Mary’s Catholic School sixth grader Gabby Miller is a member of the girl’s basketball team. 

She has been absent the past couple months due to her battle with AFM, a rare polio-like condition that landed her in the hospital since December. 

Gabby returned home this week for the first time since her diagnosis.  

St. Mary’s girl’s basketball has a home game against St. Michaels of Brookville at 6 p.m. on Thursday night.

It is a free-will donation to attend the game and all of the proceeds go toward the Miller family. 

The sixth-grader is expected to be at the game and attendees are encouraged to wear their “Fight Like Gabby” shirts. 

Gabby will return to class next week as she continues extensive therapy with the hopes of one day being able to walk again.
