"A servant leader in our school"
(OSGOOD, Ind.) – This week we are recognizing South Ripley senior Shawnee Goddard!
Shawnee is a dedicated student who has quite the musical talent!
She has been a trumpet player in the South Ripley High band since sixth grade and also participates in the jazz band, pep band and honor band.
We spoke with South Ripley band director Ellen Fennell who spoke very highly of Goddard.
"Shawnee is always the biggest cheerleader in class. She works super hard and is always willing to help someone who needs help. She is one of the best servant leaders in our school," Fennell said.
Goddard has also been in the Drama Club for four years as well as the school's archery team.
Shawnee is expected to join the Ball State Marching Band next year and is planning to major in legal studies with a minor in music.
We were also told that Shawnee has a long-term goal of one day becoming a lawyer.
Best of luck Shawnee, and your positive attitude is why you were nominated for our Student of the Week!
