Students learn about solar system at Milan camp

It was hosted by Genesis: Pathways to Success

(MILAN, Ind.) -- Nearly 90 local students and their parents participated in a program called Stargazing with Astronomers at the Milan Public Library.

It was hosted by Genesis: Pathways to Success as part of their Summer of STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) program.

Students were able to observe the night sky and learn more about the solar system. They also studied constellations, learned unique facts about the sun, and took interplanetary missions to Mars and Saturn.

“The portable planetarium was cool, and I enjoyed taking a trip through space. I am especially excited to take home the glow-in-the-dark craft kit,” emphasized Wil Wheeler, an incoming 7th grader student at Milan Middle School.
