2022 Record: 13-1; Lost in Semi State to Indy Lutheran

The North Decatur Chargers had a historical season in 2022 reaching the Semi State for the first time in school history.

Head Coach Steve Stirn says last season was not a fluke.

We must build on the experience that we gained in 2022. This team needs to find it identity and stick to it. I believe that we will be better than most people think we will," Stirn said.

Some key players that graduated from last season include Reid Messer, Carson Parmer, James Evans, Jake Kinker, Tyler Field and Evan Howell.

The Chargers will rely on junior quarterback Mason Morris to lead their pro style offense this year. Other key offensive players will be Cooper Parmer, Corbin Thackery, Kaleb Phelps, Kaden Muckerheide, Ty Litmer, Nolan Burkhart, Dylan Coons and Xander Jones.

Some top defensive players will be Brad Kriger, Owen Wiseman, Cohen Thackery, Quenton Goolsby, Mack Templeton and Kaden Muckerheide.

This year, the team motto is 'It's Fourth and Goal Everyday.'

"Our players must trust the process and commit themselves to getting better. We will have more size and greater depth than we have had in a few years. The expectations are high, but i believe that we will have the proper mental approach to the season," Stirn added.

Be sure to get out and support your Chargers in 2023!
