Pledge to support the emerging artist
UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 14:
Batesville native Emily Hicks is within reaching distance of having a lifelong dream come true. She only needs to raise $800 of her $15,000 by the end of the day.
If she doesn't earn the final $800, she loses it all. The funds will help her support her first full length album.
ORIGINAL REPORT (OCTOBER 17)
(NASHVILLE) -- Batesville native Emily Hicks is hoping to create her first full length album.
That will only be possible if she's able to get support from the community.
A Kickstarter campaign was launched Monday, October 16. The goal is to raise $15,000 by November 14.
Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing platform, so if she doesn't reach the goal at the end of the campaign she won't get any of the money.
"As you can imagine, this is a costly and risky undertaking ,so I'm hoping to have my southeastern Indiana community behind me," Hicks said.
