Police searching after pursuit reached high speeds
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a high-speed chase ended in Versailles Sunday afternoon.
The pursuit began in Jennings County and ended near Crossroads Restaurant.
Deputies say they disabled the vehicle using stop-sticks, however, the suspect was able to elude officers and remains on the loose.
The suspect is described as a Black male, skinny, with short dreadlocks and last seen wearing a black shirt, the Ripley County Sheriff's Office said.
Police say the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle at high speeds from Jennings County before entering Ripley County on U.S. 50.
