(VEVAY, Ind.) -- Firefighters in Switzerland County challenged each other during the first-ever Water Ball Competition during the Swiss Wine Fest on Sunday.
The competition is played by two five-member firefighting teams with the goal of spraying the ball 15 inches across the other teams zone.
Agencies that competed included the Jeff-Craig Fire Department, Posey TWP Fire, Moorefield Community Fire Department, East Enterprise Fire Department, Madison Township, Delaware Fire Department, Gallatin County/Warsaw Fire Department and Owenton Fire Department.
Madison Township finished in first place followed by Moorefield and Gallatin County.
"We are hoping to make this an annual event at the wine festival as it is a nice unwind for fire fighters and EMS personnel who have done a lot of behind the scenes preparation and planning for the event," said a spokesman with the Jeff-Craig Fire Department
