Will fund projects and events
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – Tanglewood Baptist Church in Versailles has been an integral part of Ripley County for more than 150 years.
The church wants to make sure they continue to truly serve the community.
“Current members and church leadership agreed more needed to be done to not only serve the community from a financial perspective but preserve the legacy of Tanglewood in perpetuity,” Owen Menchhofer said.
Organizers have formed the non-profit Tanglewood Baptist Legacy Fund to provide grants to support local projects, events, and organizations consistent with the beliefs of a Christian mindset.
The grant committee is overseen by members Tom Finney, Owen Menchhofer, Amber May, Kevin Thompson, and Holly Wehr, Mindy Greene Barbe and Becky Pohle.
Grant applications for the inaugural giving cycle can be found on Tanglewood Baptist Legacy Fund’s Facebook page.
Applications will be due by midnight on March 31. Accepted applicants will be notified prior to grants being given on June 1.
