One of 20 women selected for leadership conference
(INDIANAPOLIS) – Greensburg native Ellie Acra has just been selected for this year’s Lugar Series.
Acra is one of just 20 women statewide to be selected for the leadership development program.
The Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series was created in 1990, in honor of the late Indiana senator.
The program aims to increase the number of Republican women elected and appointed to local, state and national government offices.
Acra is a Greensburg alum and recent graduate of Purdue University. She has been a reporter and contributor of The 812 for two years.
She also has a new initiative called Ellie's Angle where she breaks down complex political topics in a simple way to understand.
