Watch: Lawrenceburg business makes surprise donation
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – In celebration of 812 Day, Batesville Products, of Lawrenceburg, presented a local non-profit with a $812 check in support of the group’s initiative.
For the third year in a row, Batesville Products has gifted a local organization with a surprise donation on August 12. Their associate Mary Jutzi also designs the 812Day t-shirts every year.
This year they surprised The Community Project with a donation. Since its establishment in 2020, The Community Project gives back to the community in numerous ways.
A few of the annual projects include distributing Thanksgiving meals, community blessing boxes and Christmas with friends
The group’s secretary, Rachel Reynolds, said that the community’s generosity allows the projects to reach more recipients.
Some other board members include Andrea Ewan, Ken Maddin, Logan Carr and Kevin Wang
The group expresses their gratitude toward BPI’s donation.
“It was definitely a surprise,” Reynolds said. “It’s always nice to see local businesses supporting others in the community."
Additional information and ways to get involved can be found on The Community Project site.
