Two Decatur County schools, one Dearborn Co. school made list
(DILLSBORO, Ind.) -- Three local schools earned a spot in the "Best Indiana Elementary Schools of 2024" list by U.S. News & World Report.
The schools were evaluated on criteria including student performance on state assessments and the overall learning environment.
North Decatur Elementary was the highest-rated school at 106th on the list.
Greensburg Elementary ranked 161st and Dillsboro Elementary School placed 166th.
Dillsboro Principal Kyle Miller credited the school's educators, staff and students who made the honor possible.
"This recognition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our entire school community. It reflects the commitment of our talented educators, the support of our engaged parents, and the dedication of our students to achieving academic success. We are immensely proud of this accomplishment," Miller said.
The U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking is regarded as a reliable and comprehensive assessment of the nation's schools.
