USMC veterans invited to Marine Corps. Birthday celebration in Batesville

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- The Marine Corps was formed on November 10, 1775 and the Corps began celebrating the anniversary of it's formation in 1921.

U.S. Marines past and present gather every November 10 to celebrate the USMC Birthday.

All Marines are invited to the birthday celebration at the Batesville VFW this Friday.

It starts at 5 p.m. and the VFW is located at 132 E. Boehringer Street in Batesville.

Organizers say all USMC members are welcome and encouraged to bring photos, share stories and can also bring other Marines.
