Owner says it was a difficult decision to close
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- Cecil's Slice of Pie is closing after three years of business in Versailles.
The restaurant opened in 2019 and has become a popular destination for pizza, hoagies and wings.
It was created to add another dining option for community members along with family-friendly entertainment such as their game room.
Owner Mike Cole says it's a difficult decision to close, but it's a decision that is best for his family's health and well-being.
Several former employees reacted to the news by thanking Cole on Facebook.
"One of the best bosses if not the best I’ve ever had, super nice guy and a family man," one former associate said.
Another added, "I loved working there had the best of times best bosses in the world always there when you needed help."
The restaurant will close on February 22.
Before that, it will continue operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
They will be missed. Sorry to hear this. Thanks for the 3 wonderful years you gave us.
