Police: Suspect was armed with a gun

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- Police surrounded a Lawrenceburg house for two hours Thursday to negotiate with a man who had a gun.

Officers were called to the home in the 1600 block of Fairway Drive for a domestic violence complaint.

Deputies say Jeffry McBride was armed with an "AR" style rifle and was hiding in a bathroom.

McBride had a felony warrant for intimidation.

A perimeter was set up around the home and nearby residences were evacuated or sheltered in place.
