(MANCHESTER, Ind.) – Local elementary kids are celebrating a big win when it comes to robotics.
Manchester won the elementary state robotics tournament and qualified for the world tournament this past weekend.
Both the girls’ and boys’ robotics team qualified for the world tournament by finishing 2nd and 4th out of 150 teams in the skills portion of the state tournament.
In the teamwork portion of the state tournament the girls finished 2nd in the sun division and the boys finished 4th in the moon division. Both teams qualified for the division finals. In the divisional finals the girls score well enough to advance to the championship finals.
In the championship finals, the girls represented by three year team members Charleigh Fox and Teagan Pfaffl were matched up with a team from Dyer, Indiana to score a 112.

The girls’ team members are Kaylee Brewer, Piper Cole, Jozlyn Damico, Charleigh Fox, Gabby Hehman, and Teagan Pfaffl. The boys’ team members are Brody Doller, Lincoln Graff, Chase Hamlet, Wyatt Heeman, Grayson Merida, and Landon Stroud.
