Convenience store chain plans to open sites across Indiana
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- An convenience store franchise typically found on the east coast is expanding into Southeast Indiana.
Wawa, known for their hoagies, breakfast sandwiches and deli, is a Pennsylvania-based company that has over 1,000 stores currently operating in six states and Washington, D.C.
The store plans to open approximately 60 stores in Indiana over the next decade.
A Dearborn County location is one of 16 sites that is already under contract.
It will be located at Eads Parkway and Doughty Road.
“We were thrilled to share our ‘flight plan’ for Indiana and reveal, for the very first time, our exciting expansion plans, renderings and more with our newest soon-to-be neighbors!” said Joe Collins, Director of Store Operations for Wawa.
There is no specific opening date but the company says the first Indiana stores are projected to open in mid-2025.
