Wildcats junior commits to Illinois softball

"Can't wait to become an Illini!"

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- Franklin County junior Brooke Stang plans to play softball in the Big Ten.

Stang has verbally committed to the University of Illinois.

The Wildcats outfielder was a third-team all-state selection this past spring.

She says that she can't wait to become an Illini.

"I want to thank Coach Perry, Coach Trout, Coach Verdun, Coach Syd, and Rachel! I also want to thank all of my past and current coaches, teammates, family, and friends," Stang said.
