(AURORA, Ind.) -- The YES Home is received a substantial grant in Cincinnati on Tuesday.
The nonprofit was awarded a $100,000 Impact Grant during the Impact 100 Annual Awards Celebration at Music Hall in downtown Cincinnati.
The YES Home was one of seven finalist for the grant.
It was made possible by Impact 100, which is a group of women who work to “improve lives in our Greater Cincinnati community by collectively funding transformational grants that make a lasting impact."
"The YES Home is honored to have been recognized and chosen among the amazing honorees. On top of that, to have been encouraged and coached by the women from Impact 100 was an incredible experience. This collective group of women make a huge impact in our communities," said YES Home executive director Amy Phillips.
The grant will be used for renovations to add counseling and an area for family visits.
The YES Home is a residential group home for youths ages 12-20, providing a structured, nurturing environment for abused, neglected and abandoned children.
