Strong storms moved through area Tuesday night

Tornado Watch continues until 1AM Tuesday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A line of strong storms moved through Southeast Indiana on Tuesday night. 


It prompted multiple tornado warnings and at least one confirmed tornado sighting in Franklin County. 


There were tornado warnings in Decatur, Franklin, Fayette, Union, Ripley and Dearborn counties between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.


So far, we’ve received reports of some downed trees, poles and wires in the area.

The threat now turns to flooding as a Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. There have been reports of high water in Ripley, Dearborn and Franklin County.
