812 Spotlight: Mayberry West Farms in Milan

Celebrated their annual fall festival this past weekend

(MILAN, Ind.) -- The 812 stopped by Mayberry West Farms in Milan during their annual fall festival on Saturday, October 14.

The farm is owned by Brian and Marie Smith and the family raises farm-to-table bison right here in Southeast Indiana.

"Bison meat is renowned for its exceptional nutritional profile. It is naturally lean, containing less fat and fewer calories compared to traditional beef, making it an excellent choice for health-conscious individuals," Marie said.

This past weekend, they hosted their third annual Mayberry West Family Fall Fest. Each October, they open up the farm to the public and the event serves as a fundraiser.

The Smith's have fundraised for individuals who have serious medical illnesses in the past.

This year, they dedicated the festival to raising funds for the Pregnancy Care Center of Southeast Indiana.
