The MVP's of the girls and boys tournament come from the same family
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- A local family is celebrating an accomplishment that is likely among the rarest to ever happen anywhere in high school basketball.
A brother and sister who are twins were both named Most Valuable Player of their individual tournaments on the same weekend.
Natalie Knigga is a Lawrenceburg junior who was named MVP of the girl's Rivertown Classic after the Tigers beat Switzerland County on Friday.
One night later, her twin brother, Noah, claimed the MVP of the boy's Rivertown Classic when his Lawrenceburg team won.
MVP votes are calculated by representatives of the four participating schools, along with one vote from local radio station Eagle 99.3.
Both Natalie and Noah are hoping to continue their athletic careers in college.
Noah has received interest from numerous college football programs, and got a big recruiting boost on Friday.
