Lewis named Greensburg Optimist Firefighter of the Year

Assistant chief receives honor

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- The Greensburg Optimist Club held their annual breakfast where they select a firefighter of the year on Thursday morning.

Greensburg Asst. Chief Curtis Lewis was selected for the honor this year.

He is a 15 year veteran with Greensburg Fire, and he and his wife Maria have three children.

Optimist Clubs participate in community service programs that are dedicated to bringing out the best in youth. The Greensburg chapter was established in 1971.
